As an Assembler, you will be responsible for building electro/mechanical sub-assemblies per specification within standard cycle times while maintaining quality requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly:  Organizes and verifies components.  Assembles sub-assemblies in a safe and timely fashion.  Checks quality and operation of work.  Maintains all required documentation.

  • Documentation:  Completes any and all quality and assembly documentation as required. Ensure that design, implementation, test, and maintenance methods/processes are developed as well as executed in a manner, which supports all Quality Standards.

  • Daily use of MRP system: Training requirements, reporting activity, accessing BOM/WI, and inventory searches. 

  • Properly disposition defective parts using NMR process.

  • Daily management boards Introduced.

  • Meet production, quality, efficiency, and safety requirements and standards.

  • Responsible for providing all documents error-free.

  • Participate in cross-training to meet schedule needs.

  • Independently identify the root cause of moderate assembly issues in a timely manner. 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions such as assembly procedures and assembly drawings.

  • Ability to perform mechanical assemblies of sub-assembly using standard crimpers and hand tools.

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding production, quality, safety, and efficiency standards.

  • Ability to cooperate with others in a team effort to accomplish objectives.

  • Must be able to read and understand English.

  • Ability to understand daily management boards.

  • Basic computer knowledge

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; curriculum including math, written comprehension, and oral communications.

Experience:

  • Technical School or 1+ years of electro/mechanical experience with blueprint reading preferred.

  • Experience with using basic mechanical electrical tooling and measuring devices.

Location: Stratford, CT

As a Machinist, you will participate as a member of the production team to set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes and manual mills and lathes.  You will aid in the production of our product by producing precision parts to close tolerances, instruments and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines.

  • Create fixtures to increase productivity of team members and decrease set up times.

  • Machining of parts needed for the current week’s production schedule in a timely and effective manner.

  • Machining of custom parts from stock using manual & Proto Trak CNC machines.

  • Builds and repairs machine shop tools.

  • Performs necessary calculations and correct interpretation of prints and drawings.

  • Input and recommendations for new designs and product upgrades/improvements.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Academic background, special training and experience in the principles of designing and machining parts.

  • 5 years of experience minimum.

  • Excellent knowledge of complicated mathematics, English and Metric units of measure.

  • Skilled in the use and programming of Proto Trak CNC machines as well as manual lathes, mills and other manufacturing machines and equipment.

  • Skilled in the use of special hand, standard tools, precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.

A Manufacturing Process Technician with a strong industrial and continuous improvement mindset will lead operational efficiency initiatives. This key position will work directly on the manufacturing floor, Engineering, and Quality.  To be accountable for identifying opportunities, developing priorities, leading a cross-functional team, and driving results that improve operating costs, quality, on-time delivery, cycle time, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Input and recommendations for new designs and product upgrades/improvements.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement, lean 5s, and culture to ensure high-quality productivity throughout the organization.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities to reduce operational costs, and improve operator productivity and lead times.

  • Design, Maintain, and identify fixtures needed for builders

  • Participate in product design reviews working with Design Engineers to develop the manufacturing process of new products.

  • Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes and material flow

  • Develop process plans and procedures for products

  • Responsible for the effective development and implementation of manufacturing documentation and work instructions

  • Key technical resource for manufacturing personnel

  • Manage manufacturing equipment maintenance purchase and installation

  • Back up to production supervisor in absence

Skills/Qualifications

  • ISO 9001:2015 and system experience

  • 5 years minimum of manufacturing experience

  • Ability to gain a high level of product knowledge

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our facility in Stratford, CT. In this role, you will work on new product development and enhance existing products from conception to production. Working closely with Sales & Marketing, you will create concepts based off product specifications, customer needs and market feedback.

Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Perform full lifecycle product development on new products (design, develop, create prototypes, manufacture and implement) and continuous improvement of existing products.

  • Lead project teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among departments and customer.

  • Track projects against their schedule, budget and objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis.


Experience
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of commercial experience in product design and development, mechanics, kinematics, and materials. You are fluent in 3D with Solidworks and in 2D with AutoCAD. Due to your experience, you have a working knowledge of the manufacturing of plastic injection molded parts, stamped parts, and die cast parts, as well as a demonstrated knowledge of machine shop practices, molding, press working, and GD&T.  Additionally, you have a basic knowledge of electronics.  Your strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills allow you to communicate and coordinate with a team while designing with regards to cost, manufacturability and quality constraints.
